~North Corel~ This is North Corel, the hometown of Barret Wallace. Barret worked as a coal miner for many years to  provide for his family(thats what I gathered from the game).  Pretty dull huh?  Well one day Shrina came with a new alternative,mako.  Barret was all for this idea at the time because "Coal mining is the thing of the past, mako is now"(not an exact quote).  The Elder and his friend Dyne wasn't so convinced as he was, but he eventually convinced them to let Shrina build the reactor. Well one day, him and Dyne went off somewhere.  I guess the mako reactor exploded or something and caught fire to the town.  Barret and Dyne took notice of the fire and started to run immediately to the town.  On the way, they met up with Scarlet and some soldiers.  After they had a few words,Scarlet ordered the soldiers to shoot them.  As they ran, Dyne slipped off the cliff.  Barret quickly grabbed hold of him with his right hand.  The soldiers kept shooting, until they shot off Barrett and Dyne's hands.  Well of course Barret lets go of Dyne, plumiting to his death. After this situation, Barret got some kinda of operation to his right hand that replaced it with a built in gun.  He then adopts Dyne's daughter, Marlene.  He also formed and became leader of a AVANLANCHE (actually formed in Cosmo Canyon).  AVANLANCHE mission was to bring down Shrina. Later on, he returns to North Corel to unwelcome arms.  He is hurt and blames himself for what happened (well it is kinda his fault). In the Gold Saucer prison, he meets up with Dyne.  Barret was happy to see him and wanted him join up in his crusade.  But, Dyne declined and wanted to battle with him. Barret didn't want to fight him, but after Dyne took a couple of shots at him, he stepped up to the chanllege.  After, he won, Dyne was still alive and he wanted to still help him.  Dyne didn't want the help, they had a few words and then he gave Barret a charm or something to give to Marlene.  Then, Dyne jump to his death over the cliff. ~Relationship With The Others~ Cloud-Even though he may bash him and stuff, I think he really respects him and cares for him (as a friend of course).  Just a little tough love. Tifa-I don't know but, I see him as kinda of a protecter or a father-type figure to her. Aeris-Hmm, I know he has gratitude towards her, cause she did take care of his daughter. Red XII-I think he likes to make fun of him, but I think he respects him too. Cid-I would think they got along well, cause they are very similar, to me.(not really known, not much interaction between them) Yuffie-Of course he thinks she is a brat and thinks she is trouble. Vincent-Really no one has a relationship between him. Caith Sith-Really no one has relationship between him, but I would say a dislike, for sure, he did kidnapped his daughter and turned out to be Reeves. ~Why I Like Him?~ He is just so cool.  I mean the gun, the language.  But, he is sterotyped though.  I also like he just like to go in and get it over with, not the type to beat around the bush.  He is also very strong and yes smart. ~Back~
