I think FF7 & 8 are two great games but FF7 is the best and when I speak too many people they agree, but many disagree also.
Final Fantasy 7 is a wonderful game. The game has poor graphics but the story and characters made up for it. I loved the story, filled with plot twist and was truly unworldly (am I even using that word in the right context?) I loved mostly every character except Aries and I sorta didn't Caith Sith but there were times that I felt for them. The game took the time to make you care for the characters because they gave each person a background, in which you understood why they were fighting. I also liked finding materia, it was like a treasure. It was fun for me to see when my materia grow and the new affects it did.
Final Fantasy 8 is sort of the opposite, better graphics but the story needed some help. They turned the game into a huge love story. I didn't buy the game to see how Squall gets out of his shell. I didn't hardly like the characters at all. The only characters I liked were probably Zell and Selphie. This is probably because they didn't give them good individual backgrounds. All you saw were them in an orphanage together and Squall crying over his sis. I also didn't like that they were fighting because they were ordered to. I like my characters to want to fight cause they want to avenge, want revenge or just to make things better. Maybe the only reason I even liked Zell and Selphie because they reminded me of Yuffie and Barret (well kinda). |
