Why I Hate Aeris?
Oh how I hate thee.  I don't know why she is so popular, but I never seem to like the female character that the main character falls in love with (i.e. Rinoa).  I thought Cloud and Tifa was a perfect pair.  One good thing  I can say about Aeris' relationship with Cloud, that it wasn't the focus of the game (i.e. Final Fantasy 8).  I don't like any game with the focus point is on love and somebody trying to get through their social problems.
Anyway, she was the weakest in the party, she was totally useless.  I hated when the game had the nerve to force her into my party.  Worse thing about it, I didn't play her so she was weak as hell, but if I did put any effort into building her up she still wouldn't amount to nothing.  Her limit breaks were terrible also, they did no damage.  I know she healed the party, but I had Yuffie and magic for that.  So all in all, she was weak and useless.
